A true testament to the width and breath of Pfeiffer Design’s full capabilities, our comprehensive interior design services were employed on this incredible double-fronted Edwardian family home. Complete with an expansive kitchen extension, an internal remodel as well as a generous loft conversion, this eclectic renovation project balanced the art of period reclamation with the convenience of contemporary functionality for effortless family living.
Drawing inspiration from the quiet luxury of coastal St. Tropez, our design ethos focused on truly immersing the client’s personality into the very fabric of their interiors, epitomising the essence of sophisticated femininity for this all-female family of three. Initiating the two year project, our expert design team collaborated closely with the homeowner, pioneering their ideal design landscape from the outset. Guiding the selection of the wider professional team, Pfeiffer Design handpicked architects, structural engineers, contractors, trades, and craftspeople, aligning these seamlessly with the project’s ethos and vision, and ensuring the final design was realised impeccably.

As the initial appointment for this exciting renovation, we were offered the ideal environment for a client-orientated design process, empowering the homeowner to have maximum influence over her re-design from the outset. With exclusive input from her, we were able to outline an optimal design, prioritising her aspirations and minimising compromises in the long run. As the project unfolded, we assumed the role of custodians, meticulously assembling the professional team to mirror our commitment to quality and excellence. With every surface of the home being touched, it was imperative that everyone possessed the requisite skill and dedication to uphold our exacting standards. Through early engagement, we were able to ensure that every element of the home reflected the singular essence of our client’s vision, resulting in a truly exceptional space that is a testament to the art of living beautifully.

For this impressive Edwardian detached home, reintroducing the long stripped-away period features was a key element of our client’s brief. Traditional stained glass windows that once adorned the front door and staircase window, presented a beautiful opportunity for period reincorporation. Working closely with the client, Pfeiffer Design sourced and collaborated with an expert stained glass artisan, selecting colour schemes, shapes, and patterns that balanced the blend of contemporary and traditional features pervading through the new interiors.

In fact, this project may have been our most heavily bespoke undertaking to date, showcasing the full extent of our bespoke design capabilities. From custom flooring for the entrance hall to designing the bespoke kitchen completely from scratch, every room in this stunning three-floor property featured custom elements, uniquely designed for our client and her home.
Inclusive of our full lighting design service, including smart home integration throughout, we create layered, emotion-driven designs that elevate both aesthetics and occupant wellbeing. Although the client was initially hesitant about integrated technology, it was crucial for the open-plan nature of the home to avoid large banks of unattractive lighting controls. We ensured any implemented technology was user-friendly, seamlessly integrating this into the client’s daily rhythms and life.
