A harmonious blend of old and new
At this substantial suburban property in Kent, our brief was to unite the past and present. Inside, we were asked to marry the Edwardian architecture of the original house with a new extension; outside, our task was to link a new terrace with the more traditional garden beyond.
We created designs that allowed the spaces to flow together and give the property a fully integrated feel. The open-plan area provides plenty of space and flexibility for entertaining, but clever use of materials, colours and finishes means it still feels intimate, welcoming, comfortable and relaxed for everyday use in all seasons.

Connecting with the kitchen
Our interior included a bespoke kitchen, which we had entirely handmade and installed, together with a media unit and display cabinets. Interior and exterior lighting design was also a key item on the client’s wish list: we specified pendant lights with a copper trim as a perfect complement to the copper handles in the kitchen.
