What We’ve Been Up To Lately

Hi, it’s been a while!

The Pfeiffer Design team have been incredibly busy over the last few months, so here’s what you missed.

We’ve had a few changes of staff in our office in 2019, and are proud to say we’re now a 100% female team of five: Susie, Jenna, Henny, Amanda and Lesley. We’re having some new in-situ photos taken of our team and studio this week and can’t wait to share. As we’re rapidly outgrowing our little design studio in Sussex, we’re breaking ground soon on our new purpose-built studio space, which we’re hoping to be in by the end of 2019. We’d love to share with you all the progress of designing and building a studio from the ground up, so stay tuned for updates across our social media.

In the last month, we’ve been incredibly busy shooting four completed projects for our website. It’s always a complete joy to see our finished work take form in these professional shots and, of course, styling them is always heaps of fun. Take a look, our completed projects are all listed here

Seaside Apartment

Victorian Rectory

Regency Townhouse Kitchen

New-Build Family Home

It’s not been easy missing out on Salone del Mobile (Milan Design Week) this year, but we’ve taken on quite a few new projects with March/April start dates, so it’s been all stations go in our studio. We’ve had client presentations every couple of weeks, and lots of start-up meetings, site visits and bespoke soft furnishings manufacture to factor in too. As well as all the new projects flooding in, we have existing projects at crucial stages requiring our full attention and some are now nearing completion – it’s so fantastic to see them coming together at last!

As a team, we will be attending Clerkenwell Design Week in May, in order to catch up with our valued suppliers, gain inspiration and make new contacts. We’ll be sure to share as much as possible on our website and social media to keep you all in the loop, and pinpoint any new and emerging trends we may spot.

Our senior architectural interior designer, Jenna, has taken on a couple of really exciting high end new-build residential projects which she will see through and project manage from the ground-up. We absolutely love having the opportunity to be able to deliver our full interior design package: from conceptualisation and initial layout options, going through the tender process, engaging a construction team, project management and attending regular site meetings right through to lighting design, specification and procurement of fixtures and, finally, the finishing touches in the form of FF&E. Utilising our full service means that our clients benefit from carefully considered interior design right from the get-go, and of course means that we get be involved every step of the way!

In terms of soft furnishings, Henny has been working in the workshop for weeks on end! We’re all missing her in the office, but can’t seem to drag her away for more than a day or so at a time. As usual, all our projects require their soft furnishings to be made at exactly the same time so she’s been flat out making curtains, blinds and soft furnishings, as well as installing on site. We’ve also had a few clients come back to us years after completion of their project, looking for bespoke soft furnishings for new areas of their home or a new set of scatter cushions. Of course, this is something we always love to do and can usually fit in these type of jobs around the other projects we have going on. We have such a great relationship with our fabric suppliers, that we can often turn around these orders within a matter of weeks – sorry, Henny!

We’ve made huge strides this year in terms of our business and are all loving being so busy. The future looks bright for Pfeiffer Design and we can’t wait to take you along for the ride. Stay tuned to our website and social media, where we’ll be sharing a lot more of what goes on behind the scenes as well as the finished product once our designs come to fruition.

Considering utilising our interior design services, or having some bespoke soft furnishings made? We’re always ready to take on new projects, large or small, so don’t hesitate to get in touch. Call our office, or email info@pfeifferdesign.co.uk and let’s have a chat.
