At Pfeiffer Design, our passion lies in bridging the worlds of commercial and residential design crafting interiors that offer the polish of high-end hospitality with the warmth and soul of a private home. With a strong foundation in luxury residential interior design, we bring a distinct sensibility to our commercial work, creating spaces that are as emotionally resonant as they are functional. The Arksen 85 presented a rare opportunity to apply this ethos in an unexpected setting: a performance-led expedition yacht built for remote exploration. While the vessel was engineered to rigorous marine standards, our role was to elevate its interior feel styling it with the kind of considered detail, emotional depth and tactile richness more often found in residential environments.

Rather than echoing the yacht’s industrial exterior, we introduced a human-centred layer to the interiors; one that prioritised how the space would feel, not just how it would perform. Drawing inspiration from both residential living and the yacht’s connection to the natural world, we curated every detail to elevate the onboard experience. Through layered materials, soft furnishings and expressive styling, we created a series of environments that support everyday living even in the most extraordinary settings. The result is a refined contrast: an industrial-strength vessel with interiors that speak not just to function, but to feeling.

As part of our collaboration with Arksen, we were asked to style the Arksen 85 ahead of its official debut – a key milestone in shaping the vessel’s first experience in the market. We worked closely with Arksen’s founders to ensure every visual and spatial detail reflected their values of sustainability, innovation and purposeful travel. Rather than simply styling for appearance, our goal was to create an immersive experience, speaking directly to Arksen’s discerning audience and integrating their brand ethos through mood, materiality and message. The result was an interior that felt both aspirational and grounded, reinforcing the vessel’s identity as a forward-thinking, liveable platform for exploration.

By transforming the yacht into a storytelling space, we helped Arksen deliver a compelling first impression – one that went beyond aesthetics to establish an emotional connection with guests.
