The New Neutrals

A cozy living room features a white armchair, black circular tables with plants, and a white door leading to a bedroom. Natural light floods in through a window, highlighting minimalist decor.

Things don’t have to get dark and moody as we head into Autumn/Winter. Embrace cosy winter whites with our edit of the new neutrals.

This season, neutrals take on new life with a strong focus on natural tones and textures in the form of rattan furniture, macrame wall hangings and bold raffia pendant lighting. Keep the flooring simple and neutral – think concrete screed – and add colour only by overdosing on houseplants.

Don’t forget to incorporate cosy elements into your home – an animal print throw or rug will go a long way to making a neutral space seem warmer and more inviting. Crocheted textures add interest, so look to cushions and blankets to break up a minimal sofa, whilst sticking to your simple colour palette.
