Hastings library

Over the past couple of years, historic Hastings Library underwent significant refurbishment and renovation work. The works were managed by the architects, Miller-Borne who orchestrated the renovation and Pfeiffer Design informing the key interior design elements.

The multi-million pound project which was funded by East Sussex County Council now boasts state of the art facilities including computers, furniture and fittings, free wi-fi and toilets, and has been made accessible for many people, children and adults alike.

The public computers provide free access to the Internet, training courses, online reference materials, research programs for family history.

The library won the Sussex Heritage Award under category of Public and Community.  Well done to all involved!

We created concept boards for Hastings Library to help them decide how to take the designs forward and we are pleased to see lots of the designs that we proposed were carried out throughout the library. The concept boards above give an idea of what we presented.  We are delighted to see the children’s area come to life too!
